Since the early '80 started to study several Budo systems with Martin Gravestijn shihan, Shindo Muso Ryu Jodo, Ken-Jitsu, Tanjo and Keebo-Jitsu, Judo (only Ne-Waza), Jiu-Jitsu, several systems of Iai-do and from Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi the old systems stickfighting and jitsu-forms. 1994-1999 cashier of the Dutch Kyokushin Organization and taked part to achieve governments recognition for this organization. Since 2003 member of the Dutch Shinkyokushin Organization (N.S.K.O.) and the W.K.O. Japan.
Recognized governments Budo teacher.
Also central teacher and examinator for the Dutch Olympic Committee, the National Dutch Sports Federation and the Dutch Federation of Martial Arts. Trained in 2005, three months (Shin)Kyokushinkarate in Fukushima-Japan and was teacher in the Japanese Karate Summercamp. Also trained in Japan the original Shindo Muso Ryu Jodo and Jitsu. This old group is closed for western students and a view Japanese members (age 65-80!) where in the past high graduated students of Shimizu Takaji Shihan! After some diagnostic tests of all kata he aquired acceptance and accomplished –as an exeption- to be a foreign member of this group. With thanks to his teacher Martin Gravestijn who never strayed from the vision and original techniques from his teacher Shimizu Takaji Shihan!
